How to clean grill grates with the ShapinScrape™ BBQ grill grate cleaner on your personal grill grate:

1. Turn the handle to the left (counterclockwise) to loosen the pins

2. Place the pins on a solid flat surface and press down to get them all even

3. Place scraper pins on a COLD grill grate and press down to the desired depth (don't go deeper than the top of the crossbars)

4. The pins will take the shape of the grill grate

5. Turn the handle to the right (clockwise) and tighten so the pins will be locked in place

6. Scrape the COLD grill grate in a forward direction, then move ShapinScrape to the left or right one grill grate at a time and continue cleaning

7. After the grate is scraped clean place a thin strip of Scotch-Brite under pins on a COLD grill and the pins will force the Scotch-Brite to take the shape of the grill grate for extra fine cleaning, scraping forward and backward one grate at a time

8. When finished with Scotch-Brite place a cloth, or folded paper towel, lightly oiled with cooking oil, under the pins and rub COLD grill grates for a final step

9. Re-adjust for use on a different grill by repeating steps 1-5
